Handcrafted by a carpenter exclusively for FinSteam FRITID sauna tents, POPPEL 1800 brings premium sauna comfort wherever you set it up. Proper seating heights and generous bench depths create such a natural sauna experience that you may forget there is a tent around you.

There is room for 3–4 adults, depending on the backsides involved and how friendly they are feeling. Quick to assemble, easy to take down and built without loose screws or mysterious leftover parts. This is not camping furniture. This is a proper sauna bench.

A well-designed bench layout makes the sauna feel calm and spacious. A badly designed one turns every session into a sweaty group exercise where nobody knows whose knee is touching what. Sauna benches are much more than seating. Their height, dimensions, construction and materials directly affect safety, comfort and how evenly heat and löyly are experienced throughout the body.

Quality benches should be stable, comfortable against bare skin and correctly positioned in relation to the heater and ceiling. When the benches, heater, ventilation and sauna room work together, they create a balanced and enjoyable sauna experience. What Makes Sauna Benches Safe and High Quality? Better Löyly Starts with the Right Bench Height Hot air rises while cooler air remains near the floor. If the benches are too low, the bather’s head may be exposed to intense heat while their feet remain cold.

In traditional wood-burning and electric saunas, the foot bench is generally positioned at or above the top of the heater stones. A Sauna Bench Is More Than Just a Seat A Beautiful sauna bench can still be dangerous The biggest mistake you can make when building or buying a sauna is choosing the wrong kind of benches and getting their dimensions completely wrong. If you sit in entirely the wrong part of the sauna, you cannot blame anyone else when your sauna experience turns out to be complete shit. People often sit fairly close together in a sauna, and that is part of the experience. However, sauna Tetris is not recommended. If bathers have to squeeze, twist or wedge themselves between other people and a hot heater, the bench is too small, increasing the risk of a serious accident. Plan capacity for the people who will actually use the sauna, and leave enough room for everyone to sit, move and enjoy the löyly safely. Heat and steam rise. If the bench is too low, you may end up sitting below the best löyly zone, merely warming your ankles while the proper heat hangs uselessly above your head.
